Generate anime-style characters and scenes with Animagine XL 4.0. Use descriptive tags and adjust the style, image size and sampling settings. Free use is subject to Hugging Face GPU quotas.

Animagine XL 4.0 is Cagliostro Research Lab’s anime-focused model derived from Stable Diffusion XL. It uses tag-based prompting to describe characters, clothing, poses, backgrounds and visual styles.
The demo hosted by Asahina2K offers positive and negative prompts, Quality Tags, style presets and sampling controls. It starts with Euler a, 28 steps and guidance 5, matching the model card’s recommended starting point.
Begin with the subject, then add appearance, action, setting and style tags. Avoid contradictory tags and inspect hands and facial details in the result. This model is suited to anime illustration rather than a faithful edit of an uploaded photograph.
Start with the subject and add clothing, pose, scene and lighting. Use comma-separated tags instead of a long instruction paragraph.
Keep the default negative prompt for a first attempt. Choose a style preset if needed and start at 28 steps, guidance 5 and Euler a.
Select Generate. Inspect the result, then download it or adjust a few tags to refine the character or background.
Copy an example into the prompt field, then change the subject, colors or style to fit your request.
